FUTURE PLANS FOR JIMMY'S HOUSE AND THE
"ONE FOR ALL PROGRAM"
We have started the rehabilitation of a rowhouse in Curtis Bay on Curtis Avenue. It will be a temporary residence for men needing short-term transitional housing. Jimmy's House was started with the dedicated help of Jim Gordon. We intend to open the house to males only for 30, 60 or 90 day stays. It will sleep approximately 9 men, and has central kitchen, large day room and 1.5 baths.
We will have weekly house meetings, along with case management training for employment, permanent housing, and help with personal issues on the premises.
A new program "ONE FOR ALL" will be started at Jimmy's House to provide self-help programs and space for men to help men stay out jail and progress in life. We hope that men helping men will be the most effective and successful self-help program ever developed for ex-offenders.
Our long-term goal involves the acquistion of additional property to rehab in close proximity to Jimmy's House. This will increase our ability to house and train more men and women returning to society.
